Our three eye doctors Dr Dylan Reach, Dr Brie Hevesy and Dr Emily LaSalle ensure this is a friendly clinic, we become familiar with each individual patient in order to customize eye exams and treatment options. Our family eye care services include eye exams for kids and adults, vision therapy, vision correction and management of age-related eye disease.

Our Team
Dr. Brie Hevesy
Dr. Brie Hevesy is originally from Kansas and attended Purdue University for her undergraduate degree in Biology. She went on to obtain her doctorate of optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry.
Through her internships including one at the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Hospital, she has gained knowledge in glaucoma, cataracts, and contact lenses. While practicing in Georgia, Dr. Hevesy has enjoyed the opportunity to help patients achieve their vision goals all the way from post-op LASIK to dry eye therapy to glaucoma among all other vision conditions. Dr. Hevesy is looking forward to treating patients of all ages from grandchildren to grandparents.
Dr. Hevesy is an active member of Georgia Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two girls and participating in endurance activities including running, cycling, swimming, and hiking.
Dr. Pam Schagren
Dr. Pamela Schagren (formerly Dr. Shepard) grew up in Collinsville, Alabama. She graduated with Honors Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in 2004, where she concentrated on Biological Sciences. After receiving her Bachelor of Science, she continued to Optometry School at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While there, she was involved in the Gold Key Honor Society and was President of the Optometric Honor Society Phi Beta Sigma.
She also was a member of SVOSH, a volunteer organization that served the needs of underprivileged patients in the United States and abroad. While a student at UAB, Dr. Schagren completed rotations at Veteran’s Affairs hospitals and an ophthalmology practice specializing in refractive surgery. She also received extensive training in primary care, pediatrics, and contact lens fittings.
Upon graduation in 2008, Dr. Schagren received the Alabama Optometric Society’s leadership award. She then began a residency in Ocular Disease at Omni Eye Centers of Atlanta, where she further developed her ability to treat various ocular conditions and care for pre and post-operative cataract patients. While at Omni, Dr. Schagren served as an emergency on-call eye care professional for over 400 optometrists in the Atlanta area. In addition to treating various ocular diseases, Dr. Schagren has taught dozens of optometry students from around the United States and Canada through lecturing and clinical encounters.
Dr. Schagren began working in the Atlanta area upon completing her residency in 2009. She joined Acworth Family Eyecare in 2022. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. Dr. Schagren previously served as president of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association. In her spare time, Dr. Schagren enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two children.
Dr. Erik Kelly
Dr. Kelly, a Florida native, graduated Cum Laude from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. While there, he was involved with Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Georgia Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), and AOA Contact Lens and Cornea Society (CLCS). He completed his externships at Aker Kasten Eye Center and Malcom Randall Veterans Optometry Clinic in Gainesville, FL.
Upon graduation, he received the Chancellor's Scholarship, Art Optical 2021 Speciality Contact Lens Award of Excellence, VSP and AAOF Practice Excellence Award, Davie Primary Care Clinic Award, and NSU Chancellors Scholarship.
His areas of focus are pediatric eye care, vision therapy, sports vision, contact lens fitting, and ocular disease. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and family, hiking with his dog, playing sports, and attending professional sports games — especially the Braves, Hawks, and Falcons.
Dr. Dylan Reach
Dr. Reach, a Georgia native, graduated Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Upon graduation, Dr. Reach joined the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. He completed an internship emphasizing ocular disease and contact lenses at the Charleston Air Force Base in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dr. Reach is a member of the Georgia Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, International Academy of Sports Vision, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and American Academy of Optometry. He is board-certified in primary eye care and treating eye disease and injury.
He resides in Towne Lake with his wife and four children.
